In addition to providing ketamine infusion therapy at the center, AMG is one of the largest physician-led anesthesia groups in the U.S. and provides anesthesia services to a wide variety of hospitals, surgery centers and physician offices throughout Middle Tennessee. AMG's reputation in delivering the highest quality anesthesia care is second to none.

Ketamine Infusion Therapy

Conditions like depression and chronic pain can be soul-crushing. After 50 years of administration as one of the safest anesthetics, ketamine has emerged as one of the major treatment options for patients suffering from depression, PTSD, a variety of pain conditions, as well as opioid dependence. The AMG Ketamine & Wellness Center provides hope to patients in the greater Nashville area who have not responded to other treatments for these conditions. Ketamine treatment can be life-changing.

In addition, ketamine provides benefits to patients with pain conditions including:

  • Chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS, previously called RSD)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraine headaches
  • Low back pain
  • Neuropathic pain
  • Post-surgical pain syndromes
  • Amputation pain syndromes
  • Other pain syndromes

Treatment Requires a Series of Visits to the Center

Two types of ketamine treatments are available at AMG Ketamine & Wellness Center — intravenous (I.V.) infusion and Spravato, a nasal spray in smaller doses — which are both administered on-site at the center over a series of visits.

What Makes Us Different?

First, board-certified anesthesiologists with decades of experience in ketamine administration lead our team. We believe that a team led by physician anesthesiologists is best suited to provide comprehensive medical management of your condition and to safely administer ketamine and anesthetic sedatives such as propofol anesthesia.

Second, we routinely use propofol sedation during the ketamine infusion in order to minimize any risk of unpleasant side effects.

Third, we maximize physiologic monitoring every minute, on every patient, for every infusion including EKG, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, as well as oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.

Fourth, a Registered Nurse with critical care experience is dedicated to only one patient at a time in order to provide undivided attention and professional care to each individual patient.

Finally, in addition to ketamine infusions, we are a wellness center focusing on a holistic approach to your health and well-being. We believe that with this combined effort, the AMG Ketamine and Wellness Center will have better results including greater and longer relief in a safer environment with fewer side effects than other infusion centers.

Primary Physician Referral

Patients must be referred by a physician to the AMG Ketamine & Wellness Center. You can refer yourself to our center for evaluation, but you will need a referral from your primary physician to receive treatment. This process assures us that your doctor agrees with treatment and also allows us to communicate your progress back to your doctor. Your regular doctor will still be your primary physician. We are here to help your primary physician/s by providing you professional ketamine treatments. You will continue taking medications relating to mental health that your regular doctor has prescribed; along with your pain physician, we aim to decrease your need for pain-related medications.
